This is a scenario that lots of us have been in. And the natural instinct for many is to spend time over the ‘extra’ week you were given to tweak and try to improve it.
I call that overcooking the chicken.
It was good enough to go today. It will be good enough next week.
Sure, you can review it to make sure it’s clear - even find takeaways from the meeting this week from the personalities involved to make an adjustment in tone for next week.
But roll with your first choice.
No one’s gonna like the overcooked chicken.
